Nuku alofa is the capital of the Kingdom of Tonga. It is located on the north coast of the island of Tongatapu, in the southern most island group of Tonga.

It is the commercial, transport and social centre of Tonga. The Royal Palace is in the heart of downtown. The attractions include the colonial wooden building, the Royal Tombs, Central market, Harbor wall along Vuna Road and the Centenary Church.
